ABSTRACT
Globally the Tuberculosis remains a disease cause. In closed settings like is a health problem. The diagnosis and treatment of Latent Tuberculosis Infection on high-risk groups, is one of the main priority for the strategy to eliminate Tuberculosis in low burden countries like Cuba. It is not only avoiding the Tuberculosis reactivation, also the contagious to susceptible groups in places with favorable conditions to the spread like closed settings. The goal of Control Tuberculosis National Program from Cuba is to achieve the elimination of this disease, that means to reach one case per 100 000 populations per year. Two high-risk groups affected the program indicators: Human Immunodeficiency Virus co-infection and closed settings, when don’t get the needed results of Tuberculosis control, cause required special priory attention. This article updates the diagnosis and treatment recommendations for Latent Tuberculosis Infection, as well the importance of his detections in closed settings.
