ABSTRACT
Cuban population aging has become a problem of health. The country has a
percentage of adults over 19.4, but it is estimated that by 2025, one in four
Cubans will be over 60 years old. Life expectancy is another core aspect. In our
country, out of every 100 people who are born, 83 of them are expected to be
alive at age 60. The Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in Cuba since
1958. The over 60 years affected 66.8 % of all new cancer cases and 78.8 % of
all cancer deaths. The following review has as deep objective in the
multidisciplinary treatment of the geriatric patient, specifically with the diagnoses
of lung, breast and lymphoma cancer, in order to know the characteristics that
controls individualize the management therapeutic in this age group.
