Program for the prevention of homophobic school bullying in adolescents

ABSTRACT
Homophobic bullying affects the full development of all those involved and the quality of education, so the need to prevent it cannot be postponed. Methodology. Descriptive, cross-sectional, developmental study, with a mixed methodological approach, from January 2016 to February 2018, with the aim of proposing a program for the prevention of homophobic bullying. The sample consisted of 38 teenagers. Empirical methods and tools of descriptive statistics were used. Results. Homophobic bullying is frequently expressed in the school context through verbal and social actions and behaviors. Conclusions. The relevance and feasibility of the prevention program was demonstrated, since it incorporates concepts and reflections that favor the reduction of homophobic school bullying actions and behaviors in adolescents and encourages respect for Human Rights and sexual diversity.REFERENCES
