New vision of the risk factors associated to the arterial hypertension in Mexico (Analysis for conjunctive consolidation)

In the year 2000, a probabilistic national survey was carried out in 45,300 persons, proportionating reliable data regarding chronic-degenerative diseases, which will be possible to design more and better strategies, according to the country needs. Average national arterial hypertension prevalence is 30.05%, for a population between 20-69 years old. Type-2 diabetes mellitus prevalence is 10.7%. Both diseases shows alarming growing figures. Of hypertensive patients, only 14.6% are under control and over 50% of the total hypertensive population aren’t under treatment. Proteinuria, as microcirculation damage marker allowed to observate the high impact of the studied factors.
