ABSTRACT
The development of effective vaccines against the SARS-CoV-2 is considered a higher
global public health priority to control the transmission and spread of the disease. Different
approaches have been proposed to design and develop vaccines for COVID-19,
these include epitope-based peptide vaccines, recombinant protein vaccines, viral vector
vaccines, nucleic acid-based vaccines, and inactivated vaccines. However, until May
2020, there is not approved vaccine against COVID-19.
