ABSTRACT
liver diseases have cutaneous manifestations in up to 15% to 20% of the cases. There are
numerous and none of them is pathognomonic. However, its recognition may be the basis for the
initiation of studies and be the first approach to the etiology of liver disease. In the present article the
main cutaneous manifestations of liver disease are described, including jaundice, telangiectasias,
spider angiomas, palmar erythema, xanthomas and xanthelasmas, among others.
