ABSTRACT
Joint replacement of the knees is the treatment of choice for gonarthrosis, which allows patients to regain mobility of the joints and reduce pain from it. Currently, one of the prostheses, which is most frequently placed in the world, is the PFC Sigma, which has obtained good results in recent years. However, it has been reported that 20% of patients, who have maintained this prosthesis, have referred limitations due to pain in the performance of daily activities, for which reason a new prosthesis has been designed in order to improve the limitation and satisfaction of patients with knee arthroplasty. The Attune is a new generation prothesis; therefore there are no studies that assess the improvement of this with its predecessor. The present study compares the PFC-Sigma prosthesis with the Attune, in order to demonstrate that the latter has better results in terms of the relationship between pain and acceptance.
