ABSTRACT
In the talus, major fractures and dislocations are uncommon in adults. A complete dislocation of the talus, was first described by Fabricius in 1608. Coltart in 1952, studied 228 injuries of the talus and reported only 3 patients with fracture of the talar neck in adults patients. The authors report a case of 11 years old boy who had a fracture of the talar neck; he was undertaken a open reduction and internal fixation of the fracture at the Childrens Hospital in Morelia, México. After 18 months of follow up, based in 4 criterias, pain, limp, swelling and movements, the result is very good.
