Curricular strategies of the medicine carrier in the mathematics of the preparatory course

ABSTRACT
Objective: to evaluate the implementation of curricular strategies of medicine carrier in the subject mathematics of preparatory course of Latin American Medicine School.Materials and method: a longitudinal descriptive study that comprises from September 2010 to July 2016, evidences received in plans and methodological activities reports, academic controls, materials for the direction of the teaching learning process and the elaboration of scientific works.
Results: the direction of the teaching learning process of English language was substituted by the devel-opment of communicative abilities in Spanish, in Mathematics. It was evidenced that the work with the four curricular strategies approvaled and the one of the Spanish language, although in some variables was not possible to verify in the time, because the notifications on it or them scarcely were used and the way.
Conclusions: the curricular strategies of the Medicine carrier constitute a curricular pivot for the achievement of general objectives related to knowledges, abilities and ways of professional performance, impossible to achieve from only one discipline, although the instability of the department direction. It has seen that there are conditions to improve the methodological work with the curricular strategies of Medicine as they are harvest in the new study plan D.
