ABSTRACT
Cure of hurts can be defined as that technique that favors tissue cicatrization in any lesions until achieving its complete remission. This is a natural process and does not normally requires special treatments, however, there are some chronic or recurrent hurts that do not finish this process due to subjacent processes. In those cases, it is necessary to take some intervention; for example, in case of ulcers produced by high blood-pressure, vascular ulcers or surgical hurts that cicatrize in the second intention. The infirmary staff giving assistance in this kind of lesions requires the knowledge of the elements laying the foundations of advanced cures. The Clinic of Advance Management of Hurts at the National Institute of Cardiology “Ignacio Chávez” supplies treatment to patients experiencing alterations in normal cicatrization processes, tearing down all the barriers that may impede tissue regeneration through the use of active dressing or poultice that maintain hurts in a wet ambient. This last fact has demonstrated a better cost-benefit relation in order to decrease the number of cures and lessen hospital stay. This review has the objective of showing the principles of advanced cure in hurts.REFERENCES
