Patients’ attitudes in order to exercise her rights upon the base of knowledge and information

ABSTRACT
The human rights are fundamental values of the man, protect those minimum conditions that need to live with dignity, although have always existed, their social recognition and legal protection is recent in the history of the humanity; nevertheless although they have spread by diverse means, there are rights that are not exerted because they are not known. This investigation has the purpose of promoting the rights of the patient in the Institution of comparing if difference in its attitude exists exert them before and after providing information to them on these. Material and methods: The study with 55 hospitalized patients is made, in two periods; in first a questionnaire of 14 reagents was applied, in random form without intervention of the alternating variables, in the second, previous information, was applied the same instrument. The instrument been worth by means of test pilot and I am described with the scale of Liker; 9 reagents describe information and knowledge and 5 attitude. Results: In the first stage related to the information and the excellent in knowledge it was of 3.6%, in very favourable attitude to exert his rights 40%. In second, in information and excellent knowledge it was of 61% and attitude 80%. Conclusion: The ignorance that the patients have on their rights makes suppose its attitude to exert them, were concepts that agree with the theory of the propose cognoscitive dissonance by Leon Fesinger and the expressed thing by Morris is confirmed.REFERENCES
