Method: a pedagogical research was carried out for the basic brain-cardiopulmonary resuscitation during 2018-2019 academic year at Pedro Borrás Astorga University Polyclinic in Pinar del Río city, Cuba, mainly applying dialectical materialistic method; which allowed the use of theoretical and empirical methods.
Development: a complementary leaflet was created as a teaching tool for medical students in the first-academic year who are taught the basic course of brain-cardiopulmonary resuscitation; in consequence it guarantees a scientific and professional training, aimed at developing knowledge and skills that are easy to be understood.
Conclusions: a complementary leaflet was available for the basic course of brain-cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as well as a valuable educational tool for medicine-students at first-academic year in order to train them professionally into the province or outside it.
