ABSTRACT
Blood banks make serologic tests to «clinically healthy» population. In the case of antibodies against hepatitis C virus (VHC), we found a prevalence of 0.36 % in a study on the detection behavior during a year. About 21 new cases are detected every month. According to the possible clinical evolution of this disease, it is a public health problem that deserves attention, and thus, it is important to establish adequate strategies of localization of donors, with reagent results. In this research, it was found that only 60 % of the subjects had social security, and the importance of studies that consider the impact of the different strategies of attention of this donors is discussed.REFERENCES
