ABSTRACT
We present the case of a 20-year-old female with an adenoidcystic carcinoma affecting the right maxillary sinus, involving also the lateral nasal wall, orbit and hard palate. The adenoid-cystic carcinoma is a rare tumor of the paranasal sinuses. It is characterized by late metastases, persistence, aggressive behavior, and a high index of recurrence in the primary site because of its predilection to invade following the nerve fibers tracts; thus, involvement of large nerves carries bad prognosis. The treatment of adenoid-cystic carcinoma is still controversial and several modalities have been proposed.
