ABSTRACT
Many anatomic and physiologic changes occur during pregnancy. The most frequent alteration is the urinary tract infection, in the other hand, the evolution of a renal disorder can get worse due to the pregnancy, such as the same pregnancy and perinatal outcome. In past decades the pregnancy was contraindicated in a patient with a renal disease; however, the maternal and fetal prognosis has improved due to the scientific and technological advancements about renal problems and fetal surveillance. In this review, we will describe the changes in the renal function such as the most frequent renal diseases and the maternal and fetal outcome.
