Extension work to consolidate the formation of the educational psychologist on school coexistence issues

ABSTRACT
Background: school coexistence requires the consideration of different factors during the development of the personality of university students. Extension work has been identified as an important variable that influences its consolidation.Objective: to analyze the influence of the extension work in the education of the educational psychologist on school coexistence issues.
Methods: an exploratory study was carried out at the "Marta Abreu" Central University of Las Villas, from September 2018 to March 2019, at the "Félix Varela Morales" Faculty. Methods of the theoretical level were applied: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive and historical -logical; empirical ones: survey in the form of questionnaire to students of the Degree of Bachelor in Education, specialty Psychology Pedagogy and an interview to key informants was performed; and mathematics for absolute and relative values.
Results: it was found that from the extension work, activities are carried out that contribute to the consolidation of the school coexistence in the students, with predominance of those related to health promotion. They considered their importance in terms of a healthy coexistence, although they recognized that their participation is sometimes insufficient. These criteria were corroborated by the vice-dean of university extension as a key informant.
Conclusions: the influence of the extension work in the formation of the educational psychologist in school coexistence issues was positive, both to act among them, as for their future professional performance.
