Combined nephrostomy in upper urinary tract obstructions

ABSTRACT

Clinical Case: In patients with obstructions of the upper urinary tract, urinary diversion is necessary either with the use of the JJ catheter or by puncture nephrostomy. Due to different causes, this cannot be done at times, which is why the authors of this paper suggest using combined nephrostomy based on work experience in the hospital for several years. A detailed explanation of the surgical technique used and of renal puncture under vision is made to then leave the derivative probe. It is considered that this brief communication is relevant for the use at certain difficult times of a derivation of the upper urinary tract.
