ABSTRACT
Allergic reactions to latex proteins of natural rubber are recognized as a problem of public health in children and adults, in different countries of the world. In Mexico, is unknown the magnitude of the problem. Because of the gravity of the anaphylactic reactions caused by these products, we consider that is important to promote the knowledge of this kind of events. We insist upon the guidelines to prevent and manage the allergic patients to natural rubber. We present a case of an allergic scholar patient with cutaneous and gastrointestinal manifestations.
