ABSTRACT
We find in international literature the communication of itis; the most frequent topography isisolated gold allergy cases, the diagnosis was confirmed by patch test. There are two types of contact gold allergy, contact dermatitis and contact estomat contact dermatitis that is related to wearing jewelry. The contact allergy, in the oral cavity, it’s observed in patients that show dental gold restorations, however this allergic reactions are not frequent and they are unspecific. In all cases, the clinical suspicion must be corroborated by patch test. Twenty-four patients that referred intolerance to gold objects were tested, in the patch tests any patient showed reactions to gold, but the response to nickel and cobalt was positive. It was considered that in all the studied cases, the metallic sensitiveness comes from the nickel and cobalt liberation that is in the alloys of patients jewelry.
