Family satisfaction in newborn with esophageal atresia related with the services of health neonatal

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the evaluation of the satisfaction of the relatives about the sanitary services, is an indicator of quality and its knowledge is essential to guide the infirmary personnel's acting in the attention to the newborn with esophageal atresia.
Objective: to determine the satisfaction of the operated relatives of the newborn with esophageal atresia.
Method: was carried out a descriptive study, in the service of neonatology of the Provincial Pediatric Hospital of Holguín. The technique that was used for the study was the survey being the instrument a structured questionnaire, contained in 6 dimensions.
Results: 84,6% of the relatives manifested to receive support when they presented concern for the state of its son's health or the received treatment. 71.1% values that the personnel of health made the entire possible one to calm the pain. 63.5% referred to be treated with fineness, 73% outlined that they dedicate their time in the information’s, and 92.3% of them manifested that they are treated with respect.
Conclusion: the generality of the relatives refers satisfaction with the explored aspects and they are not related alone with the results and the used diagnostic means, but with the quality of the human resource that it maintains a continuous preparation for the attention of a type of patient highly complex. The explored dimensions allow determining that the satisfaction of the operated relatives of the newborn of esophageal atresia is high.
