ABSTRACT
Calcific uremic arteriolopathy or calciphylaxis is a rare condition that manifests as ischemia and skin necrosis. In general, it affects patients with end-stage kidney disease, mainly those who undergo hemodialysis. It has a high mortality rate most of the time due to superinfection of skin lesions and sepsis. We report the case of a 66-year-old male patient with chronic renal disease in the terminal terminal who completed the hemodialysis who had ulcerative lesions in the lower limbs with a diagnosis confirmed by histopathology of calcifilaxis and performed a brief review of the bibliography.
