ABSTRACT
Introduction: Multifocal cerebral gliomas are rare tumors; its incidence is about 2-5% of total high-graded gliomas. They
occur during the third to fourth decade of life. Glioblastoma is the most frequently histologic variant, followed by anaplastic
astrocytoma. There is no defined clinical feature thereby often misdiagnosed as metastases with unknown primary focus.
Management remains controversial.
Clinical case presentation: A 55 years old male is presented; his manifestations mimicked
stroke. Imaging studies showed cortico-subcortical multiple lesions in basal nucleus. Stereotactic biopsy was realized,
and multifocal anaplastic astrocytoma was reported.
Conclusions: In this case, both manifestations of clinical and imaging
features and histopathology results are no common.
