ABSTRACT
Measles is an important cause of morbidity and mortality with a wide range of complications and an average mortality rate of one case per 1,000 infections. Vaccination coverage above 95% is essential to achieve the goal of measles eradication in at least five WHO regions; however, low coverage in some countries has led to a gradual increase in the number of cases per year. The aim of our review is to analyze the complications of measles disease in comparison with the adverse effects reported by the application of the vaccine.REFERENCES
