ABSTRACT
We present the case of a male patient with a pleomorphic adenoma in the left parotid and submaxillary region, with progressive growth in an individual in a homeless patient, with as high risk of morbidity and mortality due to compression of neighboring structures or malignancy. The pleomorphic adenoma is a benign neoplasm of parotid gland (85% of cases), submaxillary (7% of cases) and salivary (8% of cases); its global incidence is 1-2 per 100.000. It may appear at any age, shows a slight preference for women and is more prevalent from the fourth to the sixth decade of life; it is usually painless and slowly growing, well delimited, soft, slightly firm to palpation and freely movable in salivary glands In it doesn´t undergo surgical treatment it can reach a large volumen, usually located below the ear and behind the jaw; the older lesions can cause atrophy by compression of the bony structures and eventual malignization.
