ABSTRACT
Mucinous carcinoma is part of the special breast carcinomas, with an excellent prognosis when it is found in its pure variant, which can emulate benign entities in imaging studies, causing a delay on its diagnosis. Sonographic and mastographic imaging features were analized in 31 patients diagnosed with pure mucinous carcinoma in the breast disease institute, FUCAM from January 2017 to April 2019. The range in size of the tumor was from 76 mm to 14 mm, 35 mm average. The Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BIRADS) categories were four patients with BIRADS 4A, seven patients with BIRADS 4B, seven patients with BIRADS 4C, six patients with BIRADS 5 and seven patients with BIRADS 6.REFERENCES
