ABSTRACT
This research analyses, from the gender perspective, the relationship between gender identity and the future projects in young homosexual men in Havana, Cuba. The realization of this investigation theoretically helps to explore the intermingling of these two components of personality (gender identity and future projects). Objective. Characterize from the gender perspective the relationship between gender identity and the future projects in young homosexual men in Havana, Cuba. Methodology. A qualitative methodology was used (by the method of study of multiple cases). Six young men formed the sample. The approach of the investigation was carried out from two categories of analysis: gender identity and future projects. The techniques used were interview, observation, the 10 Wishes, the open questionnaire of future projects, and as an instrument, drawing. For the interpretation of the information, content analysis and dynamic analysis of the case were used as methodological instruments. Results. The main results show that there was a relationship of the influence of gender identity on future projects, while sexual orientation influences on gender identity, because the way homosexual men understand themselves will set a specific way of their projection into the future.REFERENCES
