ABSTRACT
The anagen effluvium is defined as the abrupt lost of hairs that are in their growth phase, due to an event that alters the mitotic or metabolic activity of the hair follicle; there are different causes associated with hair loss. Because the anagen phase is very long, and the highest hair density is on the scalp, it’s the most commonly affect site, while other terminal hairs are affected in a variable manner according to the percentage of hairs in anagen. Normally, up to 90% of scalp hairs are in anagen, and as such, hair loss is usually abundant and results in alopecia. We present two cases with anagen effluvium, with complete recovery after treatment.REFERENCES
