Cutaneous nocardiosis: on the subject of a clinical case

ABSTRACT
This is a male patient, a mason, who, after a trauma during his work, has an erythematous nodule that progressively evolves to a 10 x 5 cm diameter tumor in 1/3 distal of the left forearm, consult 6 years after the trauma. Mycobacterial culture and mycobacteria were carried out, which were negative, direct mycological in which white grains with claves were detected. A histopathological study that reports microfused grains with dense asphyxia and stains with PAS and Ziehl-Neelsen positive. The case was concluded as a cutaneous nocardiosis, with an unusual presentation and treatment with trimethoprim / sulfamethoxazole 160/800 mg for one year, with a favorable clinical course.
