ABSTRACT
The neuromuscular dysfunction in patients with thyroid disease, is multiple. It has a prevalence between 20% to 80%. Hypo and hyperthyroidism can cause signs and symptoms of muscular dysfunction. However, the thyroid neuromyopathy is a clinical entity newly described that becomes part of the differential diagnosis of neuromuscular findings in patients with the disease.
