ABSTRACT
The desire to give the human figure the closest profiles to perfection, has been from the most remote times the greatest effort of man, in terms of beauty. Hair is a protein structure with little functional importance in the body; However, their alterations have an intense psychological effect on children, adolescents and their families. Alopecia areata is a common alopecia, non-cicatricial and telogenic, with an autoimmune base that can affect any hairy area of the body. Although several management lines have been described for this condition, they all have a significant relapse rate, with various side effects. Platelet concentrate is a preparation of autologous platelets in concentrated plasma. In this work, we present the case of a 37-year-old female mestiza patient suffering from alopecia areata universal with very favorable response to treatment with platelet concentrate.
