ABSTRACT
HCV is a simple chain RNA virus, positive polarity, classified within Hepacivirus genus, Flaviviridae family. Isolates of HCV can be separated into at least six main types, subdivided into more than 50 subtypes. This review describes the characteristics of the genome and proteins, heterogeneity and the cycle of HCV.REFERENCES
