ABSTRACT
Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is an acute inflammatory polyneuropathy of autoimmune etiology clinically shown in the peripheral nerves and spinal roots. The objective is to show the improvement-cure of a patient carrying Guillain Barré. He was treated for 90 days with physical agents, walking, facial and peripheral muscle reeducation. We present a case of a 50-year-old male patient with a history of Zika virus infection, who was admitted to intermediate therapy presenting pain and parenthesis in his lower limbs, decreased muscle strength, difficulty at walking and cranial nerve involvement. Three weeks after this condition started, he was admitted at the Medical Surgical Research Center to receive comprehensive rehabilitation treatment with hyperbaric oxygenation, magneto-therapy, electrotherapy and kinesiology. The treatment was effective for the positive evolution of this patient and his reintegration without limitations to daily activities.REFERENCES
