ABSTRACT
The pseudotumor of the orbit is a disease characterized by the presence of inflammatory orbital symptoms and signs, without any systemic or local evident cause. It is reported as the third cause of painful ophthalmoplegia, affecting any tissue present in the orbital cavity. Multi-slice computerized tomography (MSCT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are fundamental pillars in the diagnosis of the disease. We present a case of a 65-year-old woman who, because of the time she was without specific treatment, she evolved towards a total blindness of the damaged eye.
