ABSTRACT
Pulmonary hypertension in chronic kidney disease is included
in the group 5 of the pulmonary hypertension classification of
the World Health Organization. Its mechanism is multifactorial
and little known. Its importance has increased due to its
impact on survival according to whether they received a kidney
transplant, the greater risk of early renal graft loss and
major hospital stays. In this review, we analyze the panorama
of chronic renal disease in Mexico and Latin America, the epidemiology,
pathophysiological mechanisms, the diagnostic
process and the treatment of pulmonary hypertension in chronic
kidney disease.
