ABSTRACT
Oral allergy syndrome (OAS) and pollen-fruit syndrome (PFS) are food allergy entities believed to be rare in pediatric population. The most studied of these, is the one that associates birch sensitization to oral symptoms after apple consumption. However, recent studies report the role of exotic fruits, such as pineapple, as the causative of food allergies and OAS. Here, we present the case of a children with food allergy to pineapple and OAS symptoms, plus rhinitis, asthma and atopic dermatitis.REFERENCES
