Orthodontic and surgery management of a Skeletal Class III patient with laterognatia and maxillary inclination: a case report

ABSTRACT
Female patient 27 years old is presented. with a systemic diagnosis of lupus erythematosus. At intraoral analysis was diagnosed asskeletal III skeletal, normodivergent, bilateral molar and canine class III, with anterior and posterior crossbite, with mandibular prognathism, maxillary inclination, absence of upper right canine and nasal septal deviation. The treatment consisted by alignment, leveling, dental decompensation, tripodism, Le Fort Osteotomy I 4 mm advancement and right impaction of 5 mm, rotation 3 mm, bilateral sagittal split osteotomy, stripping and detailed. The appliances used in this case was Roth prescription brackets 0.022 × 0.028’’ first and second, upper and lower molars banded. For the retention, upper and lower circumferential were indicated. The active treatment time was four years four months.
