ABSTRACT
The clinical case of a 45-year old male patient with a clinical presentation of 15 hours of evolution characterized by abdominal pain with predominance in the flank and left iliac fossa is presented. Through imaging methods, situs inversus totalis was diagnosed by the presence of transposition of the abdominal viscera and dextrocardia. Situs inversus totalis is a rare congenital anomaly characterized by the opposing position of the abdominal organs and by the presence of dextrocardia. Patients with this condition are usually asymptomatic and diagnosed by routine exams.
