ABSTRACT
Introduction: Basic-clinical integration in biomedical basic sciences must correspond with present-day of medical education tendencies and transformations of the Cuban Health System.Objective: To elaborate a model of basic-clinical integration during the teaching learning of biomedical basic sciences.
Methods: A qualitative investigation was carried out in Medical Education. Theoretical and empirical methods were used.
Results: Abstraction permitted the elaboration of a basic-clinical integration model based on clinical method, modes of professional performance and cognitive performance of students.
Conclusions: Utilization of health problems and its didactic transformation into teaching problems according to the model elaborated, it is a viable alternative that would favor basic clinical integration during the learning of biomedical basic sciences therefore students can develop intellectual-logical and professional skills related to clinic and epidemiological methods since the beginning of the career.
