ABSTRACT
Due to the interesting discoveries in recent years about the functioning of the brain and its applications in the study of the behavior of leaders, we consider it opportune within the Management Development Group of ENSAP to analyze and comment on this book published in Harvard Business School Press in March of 2002. The same part of the idea that normally leaders are usually well prepared with respect to their cognitive abilities, but when it comes to managing their own emotions and those of others do not know how to do it well, so their pretension is to help in that sense and describes certain emotional skills that they must possess to better perform their complex task. He also mentions different leadership styles and their influence on employees, and offers tools to be able to change what needs to be changed, both for him and for his team, so that by putting it into practice he becomes a more successful leader.
