ABSTRACT
The basocellular carcinoma account for approximately the 70-80 % of non-melanoma cutaneous cancer in white person and its incidence rate has increased in a 20 % in the two past decades. There are several treatment options, surgery being the most effective one. What is important for the primary care physician is to know the differential diagnosis of other benign lesions, to monitor and to keep updated on therapeutic alternatives. We present a clinical-surgical case involving an 84-year-old male patient diagnosed with ulcerated basal cell carcinoma located in the nasal dorsum. A surgical protocol was performed under local anesthesia. The lesion was resectioned with safety margins. Reconstruction was subsequently performed using a bilobulated flap. Each surgical stage is described with a satisfactory result.
