Necessities of learning on Biostatistics and Methodology of Investigation in the training of post-graduate health professionals

ABSTRACT
A pedagogical and descriptive study of 46 residents who began the postgraduate training in "Dr. Juan Bruno. Zayas Alfonso" Teaching General Hospital was carried out in Santiago de Cuba in the period 2016-2017, with the aim of identifying the learning necessities of Biostatistics and Methodology of Investigation in these health professionals. The most important results were the lack of correlation between felt and real necessities, with a Pearson correlation coefficient = 0.058; also, none of the evaluated reached 50 % of the test points. It is concluded that the professionals don't have the necessary knowledge for their statistical-investigative acting, when beginning their postgraduate training.
