ABSTRACT
Fahr’s disease is a basal lymph node calcification with multiple neurological and psychiatric signs and symptoms associated with low serum calcium levels. We present the case of a 70-year-old patient who attended the emergency department for presenting de novo seizures with deterioration of neurological status, evidence of multiple calcifications in the basal nuclei in simple cerebral CT, in conjunction with paraclinics that reported hypocalcemia. that the diagnosis was focused towards Fahr’s disease.
