ABSTRACT
We report the case of a 38-year-old female patient who was admitted to intensive care
unit of a Traumatology and Orthopedics Hospital after burn injury, she evolved to acute
kidney injury as a complication and needed renal replacement. An ultrasound-guided
hemodialysis catheter was inserted with convex transducer, of which there are few
in literature, because the most common recommendation is to use high frequency
transducers based on image quality.
