ABSTRACT
The rectal prolapse is a total protrusion of the rectum and sometimes of the sigmoides through the anus by the stretching of the insertion of the rectum in the sacrum. The frequency of the rectal prolapse is greater in oldest women. We present a clinical case of a female patient of 74 years of age with rectal prolapse, considering the possible risks of the patient is decided the surgical method by perineal way, following the technique of Mikulicz, under peridural anesthesia, is made in gynecological position, being stated the prolapse of 7cm of length.REFERENCES
