ABSTRACT
Murray Bowen's Theory of Family Systems has made it possible to
understand the way in which, through personal relationships, the self is
being constituted. The present article shows the construction of an
instrument that measures the concept of emotional disconnection, which
refers to the undifferentiation of the self and which is characterized by the
distance that the subject establishes on their affective figures, by the
emotional reactivity that they are generate. In order to measure the
concept, 37 reagents were elaborated and validated by expert judges. A
Cronbach's alpha was obtained that had a score higher than .80, which
indicates a high reliability. In this way, a tool is presented that allows an
objective measurement of the emotional disconnection, which expands
the options that the clinical psychologist has to evaluate and intervene
users who attend psychotherapy.
