ABSTRACT
The use of facial fillers for cosmetic purposes is a practice
widely spread in today’s society. The growing demand allows
its application by untrained people with lack of knowledge on
skin and facial anatomy, which leads to several complications,
improper techniques and delayed detection and management.
We report a 52 years old man with facial necrosis secondary
to arterial blockage due to application of temporary fillers.
Treatment consisted in surgery debridement, cutaneous dressings,
oral fibrinolytic and application of cultured fibroblasts,
achieving remission after 20 days of therapy.
