ABSTRACT
We describe the case of a five year-old girl who starts with itchy, papulo-vesicular lesions in multiple bands along the lines of Blaschko. She was received as a consultation in Pediatric Dermatology Service of The Children Hospital in Santa Fe-Argentina. We perform diagnosis, management and monitoring, developing possible differencial diagnoses and their controversies. Blaschkitis (BK) can be defined as a linear acquired dermatosis manifesting itself along the lines of Blaschko. Seen in adulthood, although nowadays cases have been described in pediatric population. The lesions are pruriginous, in band, often multiple in trunk and only exceptionally localized on the face and extremities. They quickly heal within two to three weeks and they have a high relapse rate. It is included within the spectrum of Blaschko-linear dermatoses with multiple differential diagnoses and no less controversies between the different authors regarding their etiology and pathogenesis.
