ABSTRACT

Skin tumors originating from the external ear are common in individuals with low phototypes. They are associated with chronic or intense intermittent sunshine. The most common malignant tumor is basal cell carcinoma, followed by squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma. They are usually diagnosed in late stages and have poor prognosis. In the following article, we present the case of a patient with melanoma in the left external auditory canal. In addition we make a brief review of the literature.
