ABSTRACT
Genital trauma in pediatrics accounts for 2% to 10% of all trauma admissions to emergency units. The male sex is the most affected, especially in prepubescents and adolescents. With a predominance of blunt trauma, especially falls astride and direct hits. Avulsions of the skin of the penis and scrotum are more frequent among workers in factories where a pulley mechanism is involved. The mechanism of production of the lesion of these organs is caused by the elasticity and mobility of the fascia of Buck and the tunica vaginalis, being easily detached, producing denudation of the cover. The management consists of surgical cleaning with removal of the devitalized tissue and proportion of total thickness skin cover when the cleaning of the wound allows it.We present the case of a 13-year-old male, who started the problem 8 hours before admission when falling on a bottle, producing contusory-cutting injury with avulsion of penis and scrotum skin almost completely, with exposure of both testicles.
