ABSTRACT
Antithrombotic therapy is used for prevention and treatment of thrombosis. There are several agents such as antiplatelets, anticoagulants and thrombolytic agents. In arterial thrombosis, the most appropriate pharmacological treatment is antiplatelet therapy , unlike venous thromboembolism where anticoagulants are the pillars for the prevention and treatment of these events since in these cases fibrin predominates.
